There are also numerous adventures that will help you experience the beauty of the outdoors in new and exciting ways. The question for many is which one to do. Ziplining is the perfect answer. It is thrilling and it allows you to get a totally different view of the Smoky Mountains than you’ll find anywhere else.

Making ziplining a part of your vacation plans is easy. There are several places offering this sport, and they provide any equipment you’ll need such as helmets and harnesses. Certified guides are there to help you out, so there is no need to be experienced or read up on the how to part of it all. All that’s left for you to do is call and book your experience at one of the many area ziplines.

The Gatlinburg Zipline Adventure Park is open to anyone ages five to 75. No experience is required. The certified guides are trained to do all the work, allowing you to enjoy the ride. Each one and a half hour long adventure includes nine ziplines, six tree top canopies and a sky bridge. In addition, Gatlinburg Zipline Adventure Park has a 22 rope course that is self-guided. All of this overlooks Gatlinburg’s downtown area. They are located next to the space needle at traffic light number eight.

Climb Works Canopy on Branan Hollow Road appears to be like all other zipline parks at first sight. They offer 13 canopy adventures among their nine ziplines and three sky bridges. It offers visitors an excellent view of the park, streams, ravines, and wildlife. It is at night when this park comes to life. Their night ziplining is two and a half hours in complete darkness. Guests not only get a one of a kind thrill, they learn about the constellations, nocturnal wildlife, and lunar effects from the guides, as well as hear a few local ghost stories. The sunset/night package is best for first timers, as it will ease you into the darkness as the evening progresses.
