The best part about a trip to the Smokies is getting to take in the incredible mountain views. Not only do our cabins have amazing scenery, but there are also some thrilling attractions that offer up unbelievable views, to go along with family entertainment. Here are 4 Gatlinburg attractions that offer a bird’s eye view of the Smoky Mountains:

1. Gatlinburg Space Needle

Gatlinburg Space Needle

Standing at 407 feet tall, the Gatlinburg Space Needle is the centerpiece of downtown Gatlinburg. From the observation tower, guests have a 360 degree view of the city down below and the Smokies! To get to the top, you will ride one of the glass elevators, which is a unique experience in itself. As you take in the views from the top of the Space Needle, you can learn all about different mountain ranges and the history of Gatlinburg thanks to a number of view finders. After you take in the incredible scenery, be sure to stop by the 30,000 square foot arcade for hours of family fun!

2. Anakeesta

Anakeesta is a mountaintop theme park that sits high above the city of Gatlinburg, offering unbelievable attractions and mountain views. While you are there, be sure to walk to the top of AnaVista Tower to get a true bird’s eye view of everything around you. The platform on the tower is actually the highest point in all of downtown Gatlinburg! You can also soar through the skies with the Dueling Zipline Adventure. This amazing ziplining journey will take you from tree to tree as you get to experience incredible views of nature.

3. Gatlinburg SkyLift

Gatlinburg SkyLift Park

Explore the scenery of the Smokies with the best seat in Gatlinburg! The Gatlinburg SkyLift was the first four-season chairlift in the South and it has been in operation since 1954! You will have a blast on your way to the top of Crockett Mountain, taking in the scenic views along the way. However, that is just the beginning of your exciting adventure. Once at the top of the mountain, you can take part in a number of thrilling activities, including walking across the longest pedestrian cable bridge in all of North America! From the SkyBridge, you will be at 1,800 feet above sea level with the beauty of the Smokies surrounding you on every side.

4. Ober Gatlinburg

While Ober Gatlinburg is mostly known for its winter sports, including skiing and snowboarding, there is plenty to do at the park throughout the year! To experience the best mountain views, be sure to check out the Alpine Slide, a unique sledding activity for the entire family! On your way down the track, you can control your speed with a simple push/pull lever system. Therefore, you can either fly down the mountain or take it slow and enjoy every second of the beautiful mountain scenery.
