The SkyLift Park in Gatlinburg is about to get even better this spring with the opening of the new SkyBridge and SkyDeck attractions! While the SkyLift has been providing spectacular views of the Smoky Mountains since it opened in 1954, you will soon be able to see the Smokies as you never have before with this pair of new attractions! Here are the top 3 things you need to know about the SkyBridge and SkyDeck attractions at the Gatlinburg SkyLift:

1. SkyBridge Details

The SkyBridge will be the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in North America, and will provide one of the most stunning views in the Smokies! Once you reach the top of the Gatlinburg SkyLift, you can step off to traverse the SkyBridge, which literally crosses through the sky as it stretches 680 feet across a deep valley! The 5-foot-wide walking path allows plenty of room to experience this attraction with your family and friends. The height at the midpoint of the bridge is 140 feet, where you will be able to walk across glass panels in the floor and look straight down!

2. SkyDeck Details

Gatlinburg SkyLiftIf the SkyBridge sounds a little intimidating, you may prefer to admire the Smoky Mountain views from the new SkyDeck! This expansive viewing deck is located at the top of Crockett Mountain where you will unload from the uphill ride on the Gatlinburg SkyLift. The SkyDeck also features a spectacular new restaurant and bar, gift shop, and plenty of seating areas where you can relax. Whether you have lunch while admiring the vistas of the Smokies or sip on a craft beer while overlooking downtown Gatlinburg, you will love hanging out at the SkyDeck!

3. Access and Ticket Information

The SkyBridge and SkyDeck can both only be accessed via a ride on the Gatlinburg SkyLift. After experiencing the attractions at the top of Crockett Mountain, you can ride back down to complete your roundtrip journey. While the Gatlinburg SkyLift is currently open for roundtrip rides, you cannot yet unload due to the finishing stages of construction. However, once the SkyBridge and SkyDeck open this spring, access to all activities will be included in one single ticket!
