Black Bear Lodge

We had plenty of towels, laundry detergent, pots and pans, and the place overall was very clean and tidy! Will definitely book again next year!

We had a couple issues but they were quickly resolved to our satisfaction. No complaints; they were very helpful.

Our accommodation (Black Bear Lodge) was great. The office staff were easy to work with and helpful. We had to change our reservation at the last minute due to weather and they were able to do it. Suggestions: oven mitts, wine glasses, steak knives.

Beautiful cabin! Very welcoming. Bed is a little hard for us , but otherwise, a great time.

Most of our experience was nice. There were many areas however that haven’t been dusted in quite awhile and the air vents were very dirty looking. Also, the shower liners were very grimy and had a lot of residue which seems very unsanitary to not have those changed frequently. Also, the hot tub had way too much water filled in it, causing water to spill out sometimes when trying to get in/out. The downstairs tv didn’t work and we could not get a proper signal and the WIFI did not work well.

I loved the remote check in option and the cabin was very clean. It had everything we could need it in and check out was also very smooth.

It was funny I loved it. And I recommended for everyone.

Everything was great! The cabin was nice and clean, had everything we needed or could have forgotten and was the perfect place to relax after a busy day! Thank you Parkside Cabin!

Everything was fine with the trip clean cabin hot tub look bigger in the pictures but other than that not too bad

Everything was very good …. The beds were quite firm for me but everyone’s taste is not the same.

Really appreciated the opportunity to move to a different cabin when our first location lost water service. The second cabin was bigger and in a great location, but could use a little bit of tic and a few extra blankets for cool fall nights.

Clean and comfortable. Great view and quiet. Loved the decor. Had some trouble working the tv and drip coffee maker but used the Kerig. Loved the place.

Everything g was great only problem was the dishwasher didn’t work.

Cabin was clean, well arranged. The shower in the downstairs was very slippery, and dangerous. Need more and larger fry pans., beds comfortable but very noisy when getting in and out.

We enjoyed our first trip to the mountains mostly, due to the location of our cabin. We loved the cabin and we loved how close it was to everything we wanted to do.

There was poop on the back left side of the down stairs toilet that I had to clean. I have a pic, don’t know how to upload it to here. Cobwebs everywhere, you can see them under the kitchen cabinet when coming up the stairs. The cleaning person was there and gave us the address to the office to check in. Don’t know if I’d call it the CLEANING person though 😬. The floors were beautiful and clean. The tub upstairs in the bedroom is black around the Jets so I was afraid to use it 🫤. Couldn’t figure out how to get the fireplace to work but didn’t call for instructions….should be there. Other than the issues with cleaning the stay was awesome! Really quiet area. Peaceful havin coffee on the deck. Nicely decorated and comfy sofa to curl up on but bring you a small quilt or blanket for the couch. Beds were comfortable and clean. Close to everything. Actually I liked it to the point I’d stay there again and just be prepared to clean. It’s really a pretty place.

Everything very nice , some cobwebs and minimal kitchen utensils. Furniture pillows need replaced - kinda unclean. Cabin was comfortable but in need of cosmetic repairs.

Everything was great. More towels would have been nice, but we managed.

Staff is nice a quick at what they do. i needed more parking passes and they took care of us quickly.

Overall great experience. We took advantage of the hot tub and jacuzzi which were in love with. Clean and prepared rest area. First timers In Tennessee and a cabin and will definitely go back

Very enjoyable and peaceful stay. Happy to have the free parking coupons for downtown. Enjoyed the hot tub the only drawback was dealing with a lot of carpenter bees and all the sawdust they left!

Quick response to a leak when we arrived. Everything was clean and working. The only negative was that there were not enough blankets or sheets and barely enough towels.

We were there for our elopement and everything was fantastic. Check in was easy, the cabin was well located and easy to find, everything was clean and in good condition.

Check in was fast and efficient. The directions led us to the right place. The parking lot was packed but we found a spot close to check in. The last that checked us in was polite and gave us some good coupons that were useful in town. The cabin was easy enough to find at night; plenty of signs once you get off the main road. Our cabin layout was great. The walls didn't go to the ceiling, so there isn't much privacy. There were also several bugs, but it's a cabin...so some were expected. Overall, it was clean. Kitchen is great with plenty of dishes and all the amenities for a great stay.

It was very nice only thing is possiblly a longer shower curtain in downstairs bathroom and upstairs shower did not work 2nd day.

The cabin was so quaint but had a lot of personality. Very very clean as I wiped everything down on my own due to COVID and my wipes were still white after use. Very easy check in process and located by all sorts of attractions. The balcony and outdoor hot tub was so serene. Very relaxing experience for my family. Will definitely use this company again in the future.

Overall, very happy. The floors could have been a little cleaner. Just from walking around in bare feet, the bottoms of my feet were black. Our cabin didn’t have salt and pepper but that’s not a huge deal either.

LOVED the cabin ( minus the mold on ceiling in lower level bathroom) Also I was not aware that the cabin was right above someone's house and there was no view of the mountains, other than that it was awesome!!

Everything was easy from checking in to checking out and the place was comfortable and clean. My only suggestions are make sure there is wasp spray at the cabin. The hot tub outside had wasp coming in and out of the front left side, they fit in between the wood and the tub. The same at the entrance to the outside deck right where you step. The wasp were going down below the threshold. The front door above had wasp nest above it too and they tend to fly in when the door is open. There were only two forks and no butter knives. But we made it work. These Are minimal issues. We had a nice stay!

The cabin was nice and got to see where some of the residents of Gatlinburg reside. Suggestions to management - Spray for bugs on the balcony weekly. Ants kept coming into the bedroom upstairs. Looks like a bug is getting into the wood, this is making the balcony a mess. No broom was in the cabin to sweep up. There is also a wasp nest above the hot tub. Needs to be treated before something happens. We brought spray after hearing another visitor had the bug issue. Could not find a place to dispose of our garbage outside of the cabin. Not sure if I missed this in the paperwork, but did not find one.

enjoyed our stay ,cabin clean and comfortable-no problems with late check.

From the moment we checked in we were greeted with a very friendly front staff that Made us feel comfortable and at home. A folder was presented with all kinds of nearby attractions and a detailed map for easier navigation. The cabin we rented for our anniversary was simply heaven. The view from the balcony hot tub was spectacular. The cabin was very cozy, comfortable, and clean. You have nice T.V.'s in every room, but won't need them with everything that Gatlinburg has to offer. Will definitely recommend to any and everyone I know while looking forward to future stays.

Absolutely loved the cabin, the service and atmosphere. We live in Tennessee and make this a winter family vacation every year and Parkside has by far exceeded any other rental we have dealt with.

Easy reservation, check in , and check out process. Had to request maintenance 2 times with prompt resolution. Recycling availability would be nice...for the whole town!

We loved the location and the cabin itself, but there is a huge problem in the downstairs restroom: black mold or mildew is growing on a large section of the ceiling. That can be an incredibly dangerous situation and would make me think twice about visiting this cabin again.

Black Bear Lodge was everything we expected and more! Very nice, well kept and clean! Very professional agency. We were extremely impressed with everything and could not have asked for more! Would definitely return!

Great stay...only problem was no hot water on washing machine at black bear lodge...not sure if they're supposed to be like that or not....great stay!!!!

I thought the cabin was beautiful and I really enjoyed the privacy.
