Mountain Whispers

Check in was easy, the staff were helpful, the cabin was clean and was as shown in the photos. We like it so much that we extended our stay...twice! I was extremely pleased with my dealings with Parkside Cabins.

Very nice and quit stay. The checkin was great. Not being from the area the directions provided work good. Note names on the GPS does not match the road names given. The cabin was as expected, everything was in order. On a side note don't expect any spacious parking we had to park at the cabin next to ours because the driveway was pretty much straight up or down how ever u want to look at it and so skinny if I parked in front of the cabin the people in the next cabin would have not been able to drive by. Turning around was another joke. I was driving a small vehicle and struggled to get turned around at the 2nd cabin with a 2nd vehicle there. I kinda wished I would have know all this to start. Enjoyed the peace and quit for the time spend. Was relaxing visit.

Great location! Quiet and secluded but close to everything we wanted to do. The cabin was spacious and we loved the wrap around porch! The bed and sofa bed were both comfortable. The cleaners didn’t do the greatest job so that could be improved. Jeff at the checkin and the other two guys were super helpful and we went to many of their recommendations! We had tons of fun and are grateful for Jeff sharing his knowledge about the area. Parking was an issue and I would probably chose a different cabin next time because of that. But we really did have a great time.

Check in is so much easier than other rental companies. Fees are slightly lower too. View at this cabin wasn't as open as pictures online showed, kind of expected that though.

Clean cabin every thing worked.WiFi was fast.cabin was also very clean.

Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. Only complaint would be that the fireplace did not stay lit for the amount of time the timer was set for.

To whom it may concern;   I wanted to say we did enjoy the property.  There were a several issues;  1.  One was parking. We did call right away. However after driving 9 hours and on our way to meet family. It was just impossible to get back by a certain time to switch cabins. Parking could be fine for a large vehicle, if the cabin above ours would have parked in a reasonable spot when the parked. Each time they left they would park out farther than the time before. Making it harder to turn the truck around.  (Parking was mentioned as being tight)  But maybe you should let the other cabin know to be courteous of other vehicles in drive.   2.  I also mentioned the cabin wasn’t cleaned all the way. Example bathroom floor and sink were dirty.  There was still tooth paste in the sink. There was food on the kitchen floor stuck to it which is still there. There is wine or red juice on washing machine, I cleaned some off to see if it would come off. The floor in the bathroom is still dirty. We were basically here just to sleep.  I’m guessing this might be a fluke, we had family at another cabin and there's was perfect. We are not saying we didn’t like the cabin, we did- there are several things that need to be addressed.  3. The toilet is broken the tank just runs, you have to take the top off every time it’s use to get the water to stop running.  4. We were woke at 12/12:30 at night by screaming and yelling and flash light (a fight) between a couple at the cabin across the road. (Valentine View) Friday night - Saturday morning aprx time above . 5. Fire place is broke and won’t stay lite.  6. Cable in cabin doesn’t work only Roku . Only on the deck We are not ones to complain as we own our own business as well. But we do like to let you know our cabin here could have been better Thank you,  Cathy and Tim Depp

Excellent all around! Cabin was perfect. Bed was comfortable. Everything was in good working order. The staff were all very welcoming and accommodating. Two very minor issues: the cabin needs attention from the cleaning staff. There were dust strands handing everywhere especially in the bathroom. Also, the parking was severely limited and inconvenient. These things are minor in my opinion and I will definitely return for another stay with Parkside cabins!!

We stayed at the Mountain Whispers Cabin. We're getting too old for that driveway. :)

The cabin was very clean, cozy and comfy! The view from the porch was amazing! Close to all the venues n Gatlinburg and surrounding areas! We so enjoyed the hot tub!

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Great cabin and set up. Enjoyed the hot tub. I have to agree on reviews that I saw prior to booking. Parking is tight. Glad we did not take our truck. Also the cabin could use a good dusting- very dusty on couch, blinds and baseboards.

Overall the cabin was good. Parking at mountain whisper was horrible and should be told to customers. Cleanliness overall was good but we noticed the back part of the couch behind the cushions was really dusty along with cobwebs under shelves and behind TV and shades. Toilet handle and bathroom sink handle both loose.

Excellent customer service. Cabin was clean and cozy. Would stay again.

Great all around except the parking was a little tricky

Nice cabin with adequate facilities, would appreciate to have a kettle rather than 2 coffee makers. The cabin location is not properly located when goggle the name of the cabin. on website it described can hear the stream which we found is too far away from the cabin to hear anything. The stream was supposed to attract us. driving up the steep slope is narrow allow only 1 car, there are 2 cabins at the top of the road difficult to maneuver if another car coming down or up will create problem to reverse not ideal cabin for the faint hearted. would appreciate to mark the small car park slot sharing to no 1 or no 2 slot. It is easily for a car to park and occupy the Whole parking slot that another car cannot park, create problem for another car to reverse to go down the slope of the road. would recommend the park only to people don't mind the distance of the cabin and the slope.

Parking is a little tough for a truck and should be disclosed. I replaced shower head with one that works. Other than that I loved the location and cabin was very comfortable.

The check in process was very easy. The cabin was very nice, only thing that needs addressed is the dust. There was a lot of dust and some food behind the bed, behind toilet, behind wash and dryer, door frames, window seals and walls where the textured walls hold spider webs and dust balls. The views were amazing!!

We had a great stay! Cabin was clean and tidy. The employees working in the main office were super helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Cabin was nice. Check in was easy. Toilet wouldn’t flush sometimes. Parking was an issue. We did run out of toilet paper also. Pictures on website could use some updating. Overall good experience. Parking vouchers were a plus.

The cabin was real nice, it did have an closed up smell when we first arrived.. the road was really narrow which I’m sure you’ve heard a thousand times.. overall stay was perfect.. too high up the mountain for my preference but I got use to it after a couple of days.. The t.v. Was a little small but Only wanted to watch football.. I will definitely use Parkside cabin rentals again

Check-in was very easy and quick. The cabin was week maintained and very clean. Very nice place to stay. No complaints other than the fireplace won't stay lit for more than a couple minutes. Not a big deal.

Loved the cabin, the quiet, and the VIEW! Parking was troublesome since we brought a motorcycle trailer and was told we could park it there, but turning it around and parking it was difficult.

Excellent cabin and great service at check in. At check out called to see if I had to stop by there. Was told no just be safe going home which I thought was very considerate. Overall great experience and will be back.

Jeff did an awesome job with everything. There was no power to our original cabin but was able to get us somewhere. We plan on coming back in March

Did not have a dedicated parking spot. View from cabin was beautiful and it was very peaceful.

The cabin was wonderful. Everything was in great shape and clean. Only issue was the driveway and making sure we left enough room for the cabin above us. It may be helpful for people to know the way the driveway is set up ahead of time, so they bring an appropriate sized vehicle.

The check in was fast and the cabin was beautiful and clean. One suggestion would be to explain the parking situation at the cabin better

Parkside Cabin Rentals was great! We booked Mountain Whispers in September for an after Christmas vacation. We received a reminder email a few days before which was nice (Not that we could forget!) When we arrived they provided us with some souvenir items and a bunch of discount coupons for various things, the best we think was the two parking tickets for a parking garage that was in the heart of downtown Gatlinburg! When we arrived to the cabin, we were already in awe. The cabin was nestled back in the woods with an amazing view of the smokey mountains. the only thing we were concerned with was the parking as it was pretty steep, which turned out wasn't so bad! We were in the mountains! We later found out that the cabin near us was shared parking so wish the front desk would have informed us of that. The inside of the cabin was great. It smelled good, clean (with the exception of a couple cobwebs in the window which isn't a big deal). It had an amazing gas fireplace. it was the perfect size for two of us. The deck was amazing. The hot tub on the deck was clean and in perfect working condition! There was so much privacy and we loved that. We will most definitely be booking this same cabin again next time we come! We will never forget it or the experience!

Customer service is great. Mountain Secrets could use some maintenance and repair some furniture. We always use Parkside to rent cabins. Thanks.

The only problem we had was the lack of a parking/turn around area at the cabin. Very difficult to maneuver. Also hot tub control panel was worn out and hard to operate. Cabin was wonderfully comfortable. Woukd stay again!

The value for the location was great. Very helpful office staff and the cabin had all the basic supplies we needed for a getaway weekend!

The only thing that was a concern was I caught my sock on a nail sticking up on the deck . I was going to say something when I dropped off the key so someone could fix it. We had a very relaxing stay and plan on future stays with parkside and brought brochures back to friends and family that were interested in staying at a parkside cabin.

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Check in and out were smooth. Driveway was a bit funky and narrow to turn around. Cabin was missing a large skillet but we made due. We didnt like that the walkway and porch (where hot tub is located) were connected. However, once settled in we felt safe. Overall we had a pleasant time and would stay here again!

I love staying with Parkside. I am a return customer and the only time I have visited the area and not stayed in your cabins was when there was no availability for me to do so. Your promotions are top notch. Great customer care. Clean cabins. The only issue I had this time was the cabin needing to be a little bit deeper cleaned. Dryer was full of lint and kitchen cabinets had lots of crumbs. Would suggest cleaning kitchen deeper to keep bugs away. Otherwise immaculate experience once again and I appreciate you all.

Enjoyed our stay greatly. The room was clean in the most important places bathroom, kitchen sinks, tables etc. The walls were fairly dusty. And the parking left much to be desired which was the only reason it didn't get a 5 star rating. View was spectacular.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful with a wonderful view. The only thing that I wish was better was the parking, I'm not a fan of parking on such a steep hill.

We have rented cabins from Parkside many times and have always been impressed. We were equally impressed this time except for one thing. The tap water at this cabin (Mt. Whispers) had a sewage smell to it (I noticed this on the last day of our stay). My wife drinks a lot of water and usually fills her Yeti cup with tap water and drinks on that through out the day. After our first day there she began to experience stomach cramps and spent the next two days not being able to eat and feeling sick to her stomach. I don't know this for a fact but I feel that there was something wrong with the water supply there and that this caused her to have the stomach issue. I am really not complaining but I think it would be wise to have the water checked at this cabin.

Overall the cabin was nice but could have been a little cleaner. There were SEVERAL spiders. I understand being in the mountains but these were not just daddy long legs. They were huge black spiders that could be prevented. Other thank the spiders the cabin was nicely located with an amazing view!

Easy online booking and check-in process. Check-in location is perfectly located at the edge of town. Map to cabin location was perfect and helpful. Called in the day of the check-in to confirm the reservation and get specifics, spoke with a very nice female that was upbeat and helpful. At check-in spoke with a male that was almost robotic with the process and just didn't seem happy to be at work. This did not affect the star rating. I personally dont care how someones attitude is as long as they know what they are doing and can get me taken care of, and this male did. Signage at cabin was difficult to see at night. Would have rated 5 stars if the cleanliness of the cabin was better. Used cigarette butts around hot tub, hot tub heavily discolored, spider webs and spiders in bathroom and on back deck, wasp nest on wall behind hot tub. Stayed in quite a few cabins over the years and have seen much much worse, but at $250 a night there is a strong expectancy level of cleanliness.

This is our second time to stay in a Parkside cabin. We had previously stayed in Mountain Secrets, and loved the view and privacy. This time we stayed in Mountain Mystery. The view of the mountains is not as good as Mountain Secrets, but still lovely on the left side. The cabin was clean and cozy. We would have liked to have had some instructions for the TV. It has a DVD player, blue ray with many options for movies, but we could not access TV channels. And, the hot tub was not as warm as we would have liked, and we could not control. But, a wonderful gas fireplace — so cozy. We realize we could have called for help with the TV and hot tub, but had limited time in the cabin during regular hours, since we were hiking during the day & early evening. We will know what to ask the next time!

Cabin was very nice. Checking in the staff was very helpful and friendly and it was very nice to have a drop box for keys, when checking out early.

This cabin was incredible. It was worth every penny and we will recommend this to our friends interested in cabin vacations in the Gatlinburg area!

We said in Mountain Whispers cabin. It was nice but needed some updating in the bathroom. Hot tub was old and nasty. The view was ok. Looked better in the pictures. Road to the cabin was very narrow and no parking spot at the cabin. Over all it was a nice cabin.

First off, upon driving up, the facade of the cabin does not do the cabin justice. Once inside it's hard to believe that what you were looking at has now turned into a luxurious and gorgeous cabin. Inside it was stunning and extremely clean. We made quick use of the fireplace as well as the hot tub on the back deck. All amenities were provided for except food and drinks, but the grocery store is merely a 10 minute drive up the road. The cabin was well lit, warm and the bathroom very clean. I only have 2 small complaints though, the floor was not well swept when we arrived and the fact that another cabin is about 15 feet from your cabin was never once mentioned to us. Small complaints though. I would definitely stay with Parkside again. Overall the cabin was amazing, clean, and had a gorgeous view of the mountains in the distance from the back deck.

Would have given a 5, but the hot tub was green..moldy on sides. So we couldn't use it. Felt like the shower could have been cleaner. And did notice the water from the faucet smelled bad.. like sulfur . We have stayed with parkside many times and have been pleased and even though there were a few things that we were dissappointed in we would come back to Parkside .
