Mountain Secrets

My wife and I really enjoyed the cabin, and she's already talking about booking the same one next year which he's never done before!

You guys r great! This is why we come back every year. My only feedback would be to invest in a better mattress for mountain secrets! My hubby is over 200 lbs and kept sinking! The mattress was very quickly as well. Otherwise, it was great! Thank u!

Beside the bed being very squeaky with every little move we made, we enjoyed our say! We always do. Wish we could’ve stayed longer.

Everything was mostly good, some of the detailed cleaning like corners and whatnot had several cobwebs. We did notice one cobweb right off of the front porch with two huge spiders in it. The bed was very loud and seemed to sink in the middle. It looked like the kitchen table might have been moved at some point away from the low hanging light, I hit my head on it once. Everything was good outside of those minor issues, good views and not a bad location. Enjoyed the fireplace and the TV that was on the deck, the living room suite was very comfortable as well. Booking was very easy, friendly and straightforward with out the door pricing. Will book parkside again

The cabin itself was great, however, the bed is so noisy that neither of us slept the first night. We were able to MacGyver it to make it less loud for night two. Additionally, we didn't have wifi for our stay at all, which was a bit disruptive. We made the most of it.

Great, clean, cozy. Would recommend oven mitts for the kitchen. Beautiful views. Not as secluded as I expected as another cabin is right next door but is very secluded from busy roads and people which is great.

I’ve stayed in this cabin several times and I love it. This time the bathroom didn’t have any soap in it and the toilet wasn’t very clean looking. Overall everything else was good!

Very small area to park so I would definitely mention that in the description of the cabin but otherwise everything was great!

Cabin was nice and quiet and clean. It was perfect for our weekend trip.

Everything was wonderful aside from the bed. It was a little uncomfortable to sleep in. It was hard to fall asleep and stay asleep In the bed. But aside from that everything else was great.

Very clean and well maintained. The hot tub and outdoor tv was great and the private, secluded location was perfect for us. Will stay again

Check-in was speedy, convenient, and easy. The staff was professional and nice, and we appreciated the receptionist providing step-by-step directions to our cabin. The cabin itself was cozy with a stunning view of the mountains, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a peaceful stay. When we arrived in town in June, it was 100 degrees, but the cabin's excellent central air conditioning kept us perfectly cool and comfortable. The hot tub was clean, warm, and ready for immediate use. The internet worked great. The only minor issues we encountered during our stay were having to purchase a twin flat sheet to cover the balcony door, which lacked blinds unlike the windows, dealing with a broken ironing board, and navigating the parking situation. The parking pad, which appeared private in the pictures, was actually shared with the cabin next door. This made it difficult to get in and out of the driveway. I had to assist my husband in navigating the car out of the parking space each time we left for town.

The view was beautiful. Cabin was perfect for two people.

Everything was great the only problem that I seen was that I had to sweep when I got there. There were bugs in the floor next to the bed at the wall.

I love staying here. I was able to check in early. The blind was missing over the door and that made the morning sun very bright. The back deck has some newly replaced boards that didn’t seem too stable.

The cabin was clean and immaculate and the customer service/staff also immaculate!!

Cabin was very clean the only thing was the hot tub needed to be cleaned a little better because there was something brown or reddish in color around the jets of the hot tub and it would wipe off with a rag but made us feel the hot tub wasn’t clean enough to get in. But other than that it was a great experience!

Everything was good. Cabin in one of my favorite parts of town. Steep drive though, but we navigated it ok. Low water in hot tub. Pretty clean. We love staying with Parkside.

There were cobwebs in the windows and the water levels in the hot tub was low. Otherwise everything was great!

Booking was easy online, staff in the office were great and very helpful at check in. The only downside was that there was no detail given that the driveway to the cabin was extremely Steep and only enough for one vehicle and no way to turn around. We had to back down a steep hill to get out. The cabin itself was cozy and romantic. We loved the view of the mountains from the deck and the hot tub. The lights in the hot tub weren't working but everything else was great. It was a perfect anniversary weekend getaway in the mountains

From start to finish, such great customer service and good time overall. It started with check in with Jeff, he was amazing with letting us know exactly where to go, and what to try out with a gatlinburg and giving us details about trash and our cabin as a whole, such a great attitude, and great guy! As for the cabin, it was nothing short of what I thought it would be. It was perfect for me and my boyfriend for our relaxing getaway weekend. It was clean and stacked with towels and everything you need to cook. It had great amount of channels to watch TV and movies, and the hot tub was clean and working properly, the controls are a little confusing but after you figure it out, it’s great. Bathroom is super clean. It was an overall great cabin, especially being at the top of the mountain. I would say I recommend trimming down some of the trees in the back to view the mountains better especially being at the top with a view. Besides that, it’s 20 min from downtown and has close places to go try out . Highly recommended this place . Check out was as easy as check in .

It was a nice small cabin for couples with a good view of the mountains. I would advise anyone wanting to visit in this cabin to be aware of the very tight and steep drive way because it is difficult to maneuver. I also seemed to have some trouble with the dryer but I’m not sure what the issue was. Other than that it was a good cabin, wonderful staff, and I excellent service. I Highly recommend staying here.

We loved the cabin but when we looked at it on the website, it said 4 miles from Gatlinburg which it was not and was a little disappointed by that. The trees are getting a little taller which probably can’t do anything about but would be nice if they could be trimmed otherwise a nice stay!

This is the second time we ha e stayed with Parkside. Always clean and great customer service.

There were a few things that needed attention. The porch light did not work so it made seeing at night difficult. The hot tub light did not work. There were several tree branches(smaller trees) blocking the view—unsure if that’s something that can be fixed.

Another great stay at mountain secrets. The planning and payment process was very easy. Friendly service at the front desk. We love the little cabin with the view of the mountains. The cabin is in good condition but makes some very disturbing noises under it. It’s the water lines hammering from something about every 5 minutes. Just seems odd. The internet is shared with the next door cabin so it’s pretty much non existent. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and will return again.

The cabin was clean and the front desk lady was really nice.

The cabin was lovely and had everything we needed. Some small issues were the noise of the hot tub running and the shower dripped. But all up the cabin feels new and very comfortable. We would definitely come back!

Everything went nice for checking in. The cabin was very nice but the hottub was disgusting and we didn't use it. Also trimming the trees would make for such a better view from the porch. Alot of cobwebs and bugs on the porch so maybe screen it in also

Everything was excellent and as described. Check in was easy and we were given great food recommendations. Our only small issue was the hot tub was too hot to use when cover is first removed and the controls were difficult to understand. We will definitely be keeping this cabin and company in mind when we return.

Clean, nice cabin! Everything we needed was there, even a generator which kicked on as soon as the power went out (due to heavy storms). Such a easy, lovely cabin!

Calling Park Side Cabins Rentals for information on cabin rentals, area events and general entertainment in the regional area was made very easy by Park Side representatives. They took the time to ask specific questions to narrow down my preferences. Cabin location instructions were simple to follow. We arrived at 3 o'clock A.M. to drive on a dark single lane winding very steep mountainous roads. It was fun for me but not so for my wife. But it was fun for me. The one narrow road leading us to the cabin had another cabin rental just below mine. The other vehicle was parked (he really didn't have much room) in such a way that narrowed the road more to the point where my driver side tires were barely touching the road. Since there was a steep drop to the top. I had to stop, reverse and reposition the approach. It was interesting. Upon arrival the outside and interior lights in the cabin were on which helped when parking. These are not complains they are more suggestive improvements and comments. The cabin was clean, looking just like the pictures. I read the reviews on this cabin. The reviews were correct the furniture does needs updating although if it was up to me I would clean the upholstery and repair the classic tree branch wood seats and foot rest by replacing the stuffing or batting (keeping the rustic look). The bed was big but not very comfortable. We slept because we were tired (ten hours of driving) – a lot to see here. We only had 3 days. The Jacuzzi could not be used simply because the water temperature was too hot and I did not know how to use the controls. It would have been nice to relax in a Jacuzzi. The cabin had dishes, pots and pans, detergent, microwave etc. everything functioned. The outside barbecue needs cleaning (did not use). The sofa/bed was not open, sitting on it was not very comfortable. No prime channels available on T.V. For the money spend I thought this was strange. My wife enjoyed the gas fireplace, it warm up the cabin within moments. The reason I came here was to explore Tennessee. The view from the cabin porch was great. We survived the Storm with no leaks. It was nice sleeping weather. Would I come back yes. It was nice. There is still a lot to see in Tennessee.

Very nice, clean, fully furnished cabin. Exactly what we needed. Perfect for us and a 1 year old. Close enough to everything but also far enough away for nice quiet nights. Appropriate nightly rates for this wild economy we live in. Thank you

Everything was great. Clean, comfortable, and felt secluded, but easy drive into town. The only hiccup we had was one morning we were going to make biscuits for our breakfast sandwiches, but there was no baking sheet. But a short trip to the dollar general down the road, and that was taken care of.

Check in and check out was super easy. The staff were very nice. We stayed in the Mountain Secret cabin and it was very nice and clean.

We had a wonderful time and the cabin was perfect for the two of us! Everything was clean and comfortable.

Everything was great except I think the bathroom floor was missed in the cleaning because there was long black hair all over, but being a woman who sheds, I get it. Cleaned it myself and sanitized. Wouldn’t say it ruined anything. Everything else was spotless and the view was amazing.

Our cabin was SUPER CLEAN! We loved the hotub and the view of the mountains. Very private as well. We will definitely be back!

The cabin was very clean and well kept! The view was amazing!

No communication with us regarding hot tub and how to use . Was not aware that we had to keep cover over tub to get hot since newer hot tubs dont require this. When we got there the cover was already off so we assumed it was ready to use. Requested service sat and sun for repair but no one called us to tell us if someone came out to fix it . Please work on communication regarding repairs.. we never got to use the hot tub which kinda ruined my bday weekend getaway. Not sure if I would recommend to another friend.

Our cabin was not ready when we got there at 3:00 PM. We had to wait until 4:00 PM. Other than that everything was great.

Office staff very friendly and efficient. I also talked to a gentleman in this office about the owner rental program and was given very valuable info . Other than the front door needing paint the cabin was exceptionally beautiful and exceptionally clean.

Nice cabin. We enjoyed our stay. However, the outlet in the bathroom did not work and the water in the hot tub looked dirty (might have been rust?) so we didn't use it.

this was a great cabin, with a great view. it was nice and quiet which was quite nice after a long day of walking, sight seeing, etc. i would recommend staying here. great written directions on how to get to the cabin.

We had a wonderful stay in the area. The cabin was clean and well furnished with towels, dishes and comfortable bed. The only thing that I feel was missing was a chest of drawers piece of furniture for clothes to be put in that did not go on a hanger. The view was great and our weather was perfect. (I know you have no control over that). The written directions to the cabin were well done, but we were glad it was daylight when we went the first time. The written instructions on what to do with the keys at the end of our stay was not clear.

Cabin was beautiful and very clean, would definitely do it again. The view of the Smokey Mountains was gorgeous.

The description should disclose the steep shared driveway for anyone driving a sports car. It's also a little far out with few options except driving back to town for supplies food etc.

The cabin was very clean and we'll maintained. The view was gorgeous! I would suggest putting up something on the balcony to add more privacy from the cabin below mountain secrets, but all in all it was awesome! Will definitely be back next year!

Great customer service. The cabin was exactly as it was described. The Mountain secrets cabin had an amazing view of the mountains. Just one cabin nearby so mostly very secluded. We were very pleased with our stay.

We loved the location and the cabin views, everything we needed was in the cabin. Maintainence was quick to help get the fireplace working after we called the office Thursday evening. The only downside was shower door had black mold along the bottom. For the amount of the cleaning fee would think dusting and cleaning the shower door would be included.. Overall stay was very enjoyable.

After a ten hour drive in nasty weather, we arrived after hours to a roaring fire place, and a running hot tub. The cabin was beautiful, tastefully furnished, extremely clean, and perfectly situated.

Our 4th yr in this cabin & already booked for next Dec // Thanks for our precious memories !!!

View and location were great I do think that the cabin needs a little TLC Bathroom showers doors had mold in them also the cabinets in the kitchen were damage in the bottom and ceilings had spider webs and floors were full of dust. We stated at the Mountain Secret Cabin they just need an upgrade are not as well keeped as shown in the websites pictures

Loved the cabin. Everyone I spoke with in the office or by phone was helpful and polite. Only thing was the hottub was dirty but by the time I noticed it , it was really too late to say anything so, not really your fault if I didn't notify you in time. It would be nice if in the future that was taken care of in advance and not something I'd need to even call about. I did call about a wasp problem on the deck and that was taken care of immediately. Thank you ! Overall it was good service and experience! I loved everything else!
