Bear's Den

It was wonderful! Only one request I feel is needed, please provide a broom and dustpan for guest I felt terrible not being able to sweep up after myself. The location is absolutely the best!!!!!

Everything was great. We had everything we needed. Everything was clean and almost everything was in working order. Some of the outlets don’t work so phones didn’t charge overnight when expected. That was a little frustrating. Overall a good experience.

My friends group enjoyed the cabin for a 50th birthday girls getaway. The cabin was very nice, but it could have been cleaner there were some cobwebs in various places. I do understand that the rough lumber is hard to clean but I think it’s time for a professional to be hired to come in and clean the cabin really well. There was a variety of bugs in there too. I understand it’s in the woods but I think it needs to be exterminated. The power went off and the generator came in clutch!!! We also enjoyed the hot tub, and the space the cabin provides. All in all it was a fabulous trip. We made precious memories! I would rent it again.

We love the cabin we stayed in. We’ve been 4 years in a row to the Bear’s Den! However, there are some areas that need improvement. The cabin has not been as clean the last two years, lots of cobwebs and some dead bugs. The kitchen could stand to be stocked better. Very few forks, no pot holders, and some of the dishes/pots/pans could be updated. Also, some pans were very dirty. The front door was not automatically locking. There were several times we went outside and did not have to use the code to get back in. This could be a safety concern. Overall, we love the cabin and will continue to come back!

The Parkside staff were fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly! When I called with overall concerns about our cabin they were receptive and attentive!

It was a nice cabin it was clean the hot tub was broke before and it would have been good if it was up to temp but we couldn't get it warm enough and had to put water in it when it drained out we shouldn't have had to do that

Our cabin was not quite as clean as we would’ve liked but overall we had a fantastic stay.

Jeff was the best, he gave great recommendations and was a delight during check it. The cabin was overall very nice. We were disappointed that the hot tub was cracked and we weren’t able to use it very much. Few more things the knob of the washer for the load size was broken so we didn’t know what size load we could wash in it. Lastly there were cobwebs all over the place, the cabin could Probly use a deep clean dust off. Otherwise we had a great stay.

Our first choice rental was flooded from HEAVY rains but Jeff was more than accommodating and worked quickly to find us a second option. We were thrilled with his advice and beyond service

Would give it a five with some minor adjustments. The front door latch is in need of repair, it really could use a good cleaning (there is excessive dust in areas and spider webs galore, lastly there isn’t enough silverware and dishes for a 3 bedroom.

Easy check in, I love the free parking tickets , the home had everything we needed and ample cooking utensils and plenty of cookware.

Could probably have a better map of cabin locations on the website.

Always a great experience with Parkside Cabin Rentals. Really appreciate the parking passes for Gatlinburg. One thing that would be helpful in the website would be blueprint/ layout of each cabin. Would help when planning a trip with multiple people

We loved the cabin so much. There were some cob webs and dust but it added to the cabin feel for us. Very easy checkin and out. Appreciate it being reasonably priced. Would love to come back next year.

Everyone was very kind and helpful. The cabin was ready ahead of time which we greatly appreciated.

Very good stay; all problems were very minor. The cabin was really nice and clean. It was a bit squeaky; you could tell whenever anyone upstairs got up during the night. The washer would fill extremely slowly with cold water but just fine with warm or hot. The cycle would also randomly stop on they dryer, I think something was wrong with the timer. There was also a high pitched beep that could be heard only when sitting on the porch, not inside the house. Overall our stay was wonderful and the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed.

Overall our stay was great, there was just the issue with the mouse in our cabin driving my MIL nutty but the cabin was fully stocked and was clean when we came in!

The check in and check out process were very simple. I have stayed at a variety of vacation rentals over the years and this one was well organized and had easy instructions for checking out. The parking passes for downtown were useful, but I would inform future renters that if a parking attendant is not at the garage that they can put the parking pass in the cash slot. The bears den was nicely furnished and had all of the cooking essentials needed for a relaxing vacation.

We were missing linens for sofa bed but they were brought quickly when we called. We had to buy a pitcher and hot mat because there was neither at the house and we needed them.we also needed a measuring cup but had to make do with a measuring spoon. Dryer selector was broken but fixed quickly although it was a little off and apparently when I ran it that night to dry uniforms for the next morning, it was at the end of a cycle instead of the beginning and our uniforms were not dry. We discovered a “furry friend” (mouse) Wednesday night and ran him off. Didn’t see him again. The refrigerator is a little too cold in the back and froze some food. I am just pointing these out for your information. Overall we enjoyed our time. We were gone a lot for basketball tournament and would’ve liked to have had more time there. Especially enjoyed the hot tub. We used the towels the first night with the hot tub and had wet towels the next morning for showers. Didn’t think of that. We would consider staying again, especially knowing these things ahead of time. It was our first time staying in a cabin. We would recommend with clarification of conditions to set expectations

Definitely amazing for my first stay in a cabin I was however upset about the jacuzzi tub taking forever to fill up. I waited 30 minutes and it was only half full. Also, the dust webs were disturbing other than that amazing!

We love Parkside been staying with them for a long time multiple times a year. Craig that works there is fantastic.

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much. The cabin was beautiful and relaxing. The only downside was the driveway. It was difficult getting up and down on the narrow gravel driveway.

The cabin could have been cleaner, lots of dust and cobwebs, floors needed to be swept. The kitchen was not well stocked, 2 coffee cups in a cabin that sleeps 8, only 6 bath towels.

Customer service was excellent! We arrived a day early and the gentlemen called around for a hotel for us and gave us a free parking pass for Gatlinburg downtown. The Bears Den cabin was absolutely gorgeous! We decided to stay one more night and noticed our cabin was free, they offered it at 50% off. We will absolutely be renting this cabin and using Parkside Cabin Rentals for next year!!! Phenomenal service! Thank you!!!

The cabin was nice. I recommend leaving a broom and dustpan for your guest to be able the get up small messes. We plan to use you next year.

Everything was great. The only issue that we had was that we called for garbage pick up On a Monday from the hours of 8-2 and where told to leave garbage outside. We did and no one ever came to pick up that day or the following day.

My family and I had a WONDERFUL time! We already have the next vacation in mind 😁

We love Parkside and have been staying in thier cabins for years. Feels like home away from home.

Everything was good. Only feedback is that maybe cleaning the cobwebs off the wall and make sure there is enough bedding for everyone. Down stairs bedroom didn’t have a comforter.

The cabin was nice and the family and myself really enjoyed the stay. We had everything we needed. The check in process was very quick and easy. And the location was really great, just close enough to everything on our vacation to do list! I was slightly disappointed that the dishwasher was full from the previous renter and there was a piece of paper trash left on the counter. But overall the experience was great and we would definitely stay here again.

Great cabin. Some wasps and an issue with a window that was quickly addressed by maintenance. Even more clear directions would be a little helpful and a warning about the incline of the driveway, but the minivan made it just fine. Will be back again for sure.

Other than a few needed maintenance, it was about perfect. we had a great stay and will definitely stay again.

As always the best experience with parkside cabin rentals. This is the third time staying at one of your cabins. Stayed in bears den it’s not as nice as the other two. But we did love it.

Checkin was super easy n much appreciated after 6 hour drive! Gentlemen who checked us in was awesome helping answer questions! Cabin was cute n quaint. I was disappointed there was no view however, but it was secluded which was nice!

The cabin was just adorable. Just a few minor issues ie. light bulbs out, some plugs not working. But overall it was clean and huge inside plenty of room for a large family like ours.

The office staff was friendly and helped me to choose the perfect cabin. We had a clogged sink. They were there immediately to fix it. Great job.

Loved the feel of the cabin. It felt more like a home. Beautiful property.

The cabin was great as well as everything associated with booking and checking in. Only issue we had was that the firewood was wet and was somewhat green. This made it very hard to have a fire in the fireplace. We bought wood from a store on our second day which made a huge difference. We love staying at Parkside and will continue to stay there.

Wonderful place for the family to enjoy time away from home!

Almost everything was well. Dishes needed a better look over. Dishwasher was a bit iffy. We had a problem with the central heat we spent a cold night and then men working on the unit 2 days problem wasn’t resolved but the emergency heat was a partial solution.

Aside from the fact that the cabin needed dusting and cobwebs were throughout the cabin, especially in the rafters, everything else seemed to be clean and orderly. We loved the location and staff was friendly.

Every trip to the Smokeys is beautiful! Knowing our cabin will be clean, organized and fully stocked with house hold essentials make it even more fantastic!! Always send friends and family to Parkside for rustic, yet modern, cabin choices. Keep up the great work!

We loved the cabin itself, it was very cozy. We rented this particular cabin for our wedding party for my wedding on September 29th. We had only a couple issues with anything . One issue was the jetted tub that was in our bedroom we couldn't use at all because the hot water would run out before we could even get it half of the way filled, couldn't even cover the jets to use it , so that was disappointing. We also did notice some bugs in the kitchen around the dishwasher/countertop area our first couple of days . Our last day we called for trash pick up before the 2pm shut off, nobody came to collect the garbage. Other than that we loved the cabin , our family enjoyed it as well .

Look at website I was thinking to good to be true.. wow lived up to pictures and loved it. Already looking at next years dates to go back!!!

The cabin was well stocked and the office was incredibly helpful with getting trash removed and our report of a wasps nest that was growing on the side of our cabin. Their directions were clear and it really made our trip much easier to have them!!

The cabin was very nice and cozy for all of us. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds. We enjoyed the updated amenities in the cabin and the country bear decor. It was like heaven. Few things I would have changed would be, it was hard to find the turn off for our cabin. We drove right past it at first. There should be a bigger sign from the road. Also inside the cabin the door handles were all very loose and needed to be tightened. Some of the light switches didn't work or the lights bulbs were out. We also wish there were extra dish rags and towels. If known their would have only been 1 of each we probably would have brought an extra set. Other than those few items, we enjoyed ourselves very much. Thank you again.

We have had some great experiences with Parkside. Only one time we ever did not like the cabin and it was construction and it really was not you'll fault for that. We have told others and will continue to in the future. We will be back Thanks,

The cabin was clean and comfortable. Loved the front porch with the swing! It was difficult to go home. Only complaint...only saw squirrels, rabbits, one wild turkey and two cows...no bears. Thank you for a great experience!

The cabin was great, we had an issue with the lady bugs and couldn't use one of the rooms for most of the trip and one of us had to sleep on the couch, and we could have used a few more dish clothes for the 6 nights we were there. Other that that it was great!!!!

We enjoyed our cabin very much! Only disappointment was just one dish towel in the kitchen. Other than that everything was perfect.

The cabin exceeded expectations. It was very clean, comfortable and a great place to spend time in the woods. We did have a bit of a health emergency the last night and did not get home from the hospital until after 4AM on the the day we were supposed to be out by 10AM. So we were very grateful that you allowed us to have a late check out - thank you ! That made a big difference for the rest of our day.

My son, daughter and I had a fantastic experience in your Bears Den cabin. The only downfall I encountered was failing electric sockets in the upstairs bathroom so I couldn't dry/do my hair in there. Other than that we enjoyed ourselves. The cabin was spacious and clean. The hot tub was relaxing. Very wonderful time had by all of us, thank you!

Booking was easy. The website is good and the cabins are clearly described. Would have liked to know more about the actual setting. Maybe a category of type of setting would be nice. Cabin was nice and as described. Lack of closets was odd. The use of a code for the door did not make us feel secure. How many people know that code? Does it change for every visitor? A functional deadbolt would have still been welcomed.

It was a beautiful cabin but the king size bed was really hard and the hot water in the jucuzzie ran out before we filled it up so we didn't use it other than that we really loved it

The only issues we have is it is hard to find the cabins at night the signs need to be bigger and have some time of lights or reflective letters. minor issue with first floor toilet not flushing easily in the bathroom. and water pressure into the washer. Other than that we had a wondeful time

Friendly, professional, and helpful staff. When you check in, the staff in very helpful in making sure you know about the area and how to contact them if you need anything. We will definitely stay with you again.

Cabin was a bit confusing to find, but written instructions included in the packet were great. The only issue was we were told to use GPS if we had it, and GPS was totally wrong. Need to both tell & put on sheet to not use GPS. The cabin at nite felt awkward since it has no blinds or curtains in the living areas.

Strongly suggest window shades on ground floor of Bear's Den..

The cabin did not have a working telephone line even though there were telephones plugged into the wall. There were spider webs stretched from the top window across from the loft to the ceiling. The bathtubs were slippery when taking a shower with no mats, etc. Finally, the upstairs shower contained a ring of hair around the drain from previous occupants.

Overall the cabin was nice but could use some updating on the bathroom faucets, also there is a link under the upstairs bathroom drain that we forgot to tell you about when checking out. The landscaping was very nice but the driveway could use some work. It's pretty rough when it rains.

Bear's Den was so much more than what we expected. My entire family loved this cabin, the location - everything. We miss it already and definitely will plan another trip.
