With its rustic mountain heritage and wide array if unique attractions, Gatlinburg is always a fun and interesting place to visit.

Gatlinburg attractions and Gatlinburg events offer plenty to see and do, especially after dark. From the beauty of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park to the fascinating Hollywood Star Cars Museum, this city has a little bit of something for everyone. The Great Smoky Mountains National Park, located on the edge of Gatlinburg, is filled with top-notch leisure and recreation options. Hiking, fishing, biking, bird watching and sightseeing all abound in this splendorous natural gem. Another top spot is Ober Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s only ski resort and home to many amusement rides and attractions as well. Its aerial tramway offers spectacular views of the surrounding scenery.

Other great attractions are the fascinating Ripley’s Aquarium and the Hollywood Star Cars Museum, an interesting museum that displays cars from famed movies and TV shows. Another great after dark attraction is the Mysterious Mansion haunted house.

The city hosts many novelty shops and rustic-themed shops that offer plenty of souvenirs and other specialty items. Be sure to also catch a show at the Sweet Fanny Adams Theatre, one of the region’s top performing arts centers.
