The Tower

The Gatlinburg Space Needle is made completely of steel and features two glass elevators. Open year round, the Space Needle is a center of activity featuring a two story arcade, a lazer tag attraction, a pizza restaurant, a theater and a gift shop.

The View

From the top of the Space Needle, visitors will have a marvelous view of the Great Smoky Mountains. One of the highlights of the view is Mount LeConte, the tallest mountain in the eastern United States. At 6,593 feet, Mount Leconte is easily discernible from the Space Needle’s observation deck. With the free SeeCoast viewfinders available on the observation deck, visitors will be able to zoom in on the Smokie’s scenic wildlife, such as flowers, creeks or even bears.The Smoky Mountains change dramatically with the seasons, so    visitors will have completely different experiences depending on if they come during the fall, winter, spring or summer.
