There are all kinds of distilleries in Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains you will want to try, and we want to share them with you! 1. Ole Smoky Moonshine

You’ll also find some pretty unique things, such as Moonshine Pickles, Pumpkin Pie, Sour Apple, and Mountain Java. At The Holler in Gatlinburg, you can take a tour of the facility to learn more about making moonshine. There is a stage right outside the store where free concerts happen throughout the year. You can also taste moonshine for a small $5 fee that goes towards a purchase in the gift shop.

2. Doc Collier Moonshine

Doc Collier Moonshine is one of the best distilleries in Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains to visit. Their recipe is taken from William “Doc” Collier, which is who the company is named after. If you just want straight moonshine, try Doc’s 125. If you like flavored moonshines or want to try them, they have banana, chocolate cream, and root beer float, just to name a few. You can taste some of Doc Collier’s offerings for a $5 tasting fee, and you can also tour their distillery.

3. Sugarlands Distilling Co

If you’re more interested in moonshine, you can try Unaged Rye or Anniversary Corn Whiskey. There are also some unique flavors, such as Blueberry Muffin, Pina Colada, and Sweet Tea moonshine. You can also take a tour of the distillery, as well as taste moonshine for a $5 fee at Sugarlands. They also have a cocktail kitchen where you can try all kinds of new drinks.

4. Tennessee Shine Company

Tennessee Shine Company is a distillery in Pigeon Forge you will want to visit while you’re in town. They take pride in making the best tasting moonshine instead of making large batches, which is why they have small batch moonshine and whiskey. This distilling company has partnered with Moon Pie and made several flavors, including Chocolate Cream, Strawberry Cream, and Banana Cream. Their other signature flavors include Big Orange Dreamsicle, Cotton Candy, and Blue Houdini.

5. Junction 35 Spirits

One of the newer distilleries in the area is Junction 35 Spirits. They have a kitchen set up next door where you can order delicious food and cocktails made with their spirits. Their moonshine is at the base of all of their spirits and is known for the cinnamon and vanilla notes. Other flavors of moonshine include Peach, Sweet Tea, and Margarita. Junction 35 also makes gin, rum, vodka, and whiskey.
