Overall we enjoyed our stay and the staff. However, the pictures of Bear Cove in the listing do not accurately tell the story of where the cabin is located. We were disappointed to find out how close we were to other cabins and a hotel. The exterior pictures are shot in a way that makes the cabin seem more isolated. I wouldn’t have selected it had I known about the close proximity to other buildings.

Pay a cleaning fee as part of the cabin rental but there were a lot of cleaning issues with our stay this year, mold on shower curtains, dead bugs in window sills, upstairs bath sink would not drain, dirty sock left under chair, lot of pet hair left on floor, looks like back of sofa cushion has been pet chewed, freezer would not keep frozen items, just wanted to mention items that needed some attention as we rent this location often.

The cabin was great but we had no freezer. We called two days in a row. Had two different people come out to fix it but still did not work. Our ice packs would not freeze and our ice melted. Some of us drink ice coffees in the morning and others drink ice water all day. On our last day there we felt like it was no need to call again. Freezer was still broken.

The staff at Parkside Cabin Rentals was great. They responded quickly to maintenance requests and were pleasant to deal with. There were a few "quirks" about the cabin that might make us choose a different location next time. The five stars are for Parkside's management, not the cabin itself.

Positives: Clean, comfortable beds, close to the main st, bear walked downstream -good visual, nice fireplace, good to have baths with/in each bedroom, hot tub, nice parking pass downtown, calm cabins Negatives: roaches at night when u turn lights on, kitchenware was really basic -I.e.only one size cast iron skillet, no pizza cutter, etc. , upstairs master bath door doesn’t latch, sink drains slow, upstairs br ceiling trim loose, toaster doesn’t work, ice maker was frozen solid but once cleaned out, makes ice but will not dispense ice, fake eyelash found on upstairs br nightstand, no biggie but windows need good cleaning so u not looking thru the dust film, back door has no blind, hotel behind swims all night and loud if someone wants quiet. We would potentially stay again, I just wanted to inform you of what we saw good n bad honestly.

We stayed at Bear Cove and it definitely lived up to its name! You could stand on the front porch and watch them stroll down the road or go to the back deck and watch them climb the trees. This cabin was very nice and clean!

We loved the cabin and the location. Cleaning leaves something to be desired. All showers had a reddish orange color to some part of the grout and the floors throughout were just really dirty. But, we would definitely stay again (and we are staying again in December).

It was such a nice place and very accommodating. The downstairs bathroom sink is broken and will not drain. Otherwise, everything was great. It was nice and specious. I also loved the vouchers for free parking nearby. That was very helpful.

We experienced a power outage due to the high winds during our visit that threatened to put a damper on our whole weekend. We were inconvenienced to say the least. A couple staff members were extremely helpful in navigating us to another cabin to use in the meantime. Jeff also took care of us...

Loved the cabin. Only issues with cabin was low water pressure and no yard for being pet friendly. The construction next door wasn't the greatest but none of it bothered the stay. Great place to stay if you are wanting to see a bear while in Gatlinburg. We've used Parkside multiple times and have never been disappointed and not was we this time. Always great prices and friendly staff and always clean Everytime we've stayed.

The overall experience was awesome, however, the construction project located 25 feet away would have been good to know about. The constructions sounds started early and was a constant all day. You could have told us about that . Also, please fix the shower pressure. That is not enough pressure for anyone to take a decent shower. Otherwise it was a fun experience.

Check in and check out was great. All the employees were great from reservations to maintenance and exterminator. The cabin was great, but there were German cockroaches in the kitchen under the fridge that required the exterminator to come by. I had read in the reviews from a year ago there were roaches but thought for sure they had been arraticated. Everything else was wonderful and they did send out the exterminator. Very convenient location to the Main Street. We also saw black bears down the street.

We loved the Cabin and the area that it was in. The only thing was the Construction going on next door. It was loud and the workers liked to stare at us through the windows. Other than that it was a great week. We always go with Parkside cabins , because y try hey have great costumer service.

Love Parkside rentals but this particular unit was not very clean. We found dried mushrooms in the drawer and a belly button ring on the shelf and shower curtain downstairs was moldy at the bottom. We still had a good time and will continue to use Parkside just not that unit. The construction was not the best view either.

Bear Cove is a wonderful cabin in a great location. Having the 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms gave us all privacy and comfort. The cabin is very clean and super cozy. We really enjoyed the pool table and hot tub. Easy check in and check out. Definitely recommend this cabin.

The cabin was very clean. At check in the staff was very friendly and helpful. When I called about a problem with the hot tub the maintenance guy JJ came and was very helpful ,friendly and full of information for any future stay. Me and my family loved our stay and will hopefully be back again soon!! The only downside was low water pressure in the showers but you can always improvise!! Lol!!

We loved our stay, it was very clean and welled equipped kitchen. And a very nice walk into town. Saw a mama bear and 2 cubs while walking back from town with the breakfast. It was a little scary only because she wanted our breakfast. I just hung out with guys working on a cottage until my son picked me up in the car.

Bear Cove was close to downtown Gatlinburg. It was clean, quite and the best cabin we have stayed in thus far. It was relaxing to hear the water flow from the little creek that runs near the property. The cabin had everything we needed. The service was welcoming and great! We saw a momma bear and her twin cubs every day of our stay. We loved it so much we hated to leave.

The cabin was as advertised (wonderful), close to town, clean and modern, well-maintained, well-supplied, central air, WIFI, TV's in every room, including the billiards/game room), hot tub was great. Well named too (Bear Cove), plenty of bears (a whole family - Mama, Papa, and two Baby bears). Was nice to come back after a long day in town/Dollywood/PigeonForge. Would definitely use Parkside Cabin Rentals again. Was referred to them by a friend, will do my own referrals for others now.

Nice, private cabin which was convenient to town. We had multiple sightings of bears some of which came right up to the deck. Had a big rain so sounds and sights of the creek below were relaxing. Cleanliness of cabin could have been just a little better as dust was very noticeable on lampshades and some wooden blinds. Overall cabin and location were very nice . Would book again.

We had an amazing stay. While we respect the isolate at home recommendations currently in place, we come from a very populated region and it was nice to stay at Bear Cove, a very nice secluded cabin in the woods above a babbling brook. We felt safe and enjoyed nature. The staff came out to bring an extra comforter as soon as I called and ran over each day to pick up our trash. The cabin was very clean and smelled so good. We appreciated being able to bring my cat, as she a part of our family, too. We WILL be back and SOON. I brought my daughters, 14 and 30 and my sister and we made good use of the hot tub and the pool table and all three porches. We had so much room and nice, comfy furniture - it was just such an all-around pleasure.

Everything was great. Cabin was just as described and everyone was courteous. The parking passes were really a big help. We will likely stay at this cabin again is the future when we return to Gatlinburg.

The cabin was beautiful!! We loved it! It was well stocked with everything ! We cooked on the grill one evening and later got to see a bear walking by, he or she was very fat and had a beautiful coat. We had a great vacation!!!!

Perfect! The rental was great! Must be the best location in Gatlinburg. Clean and in walking distance to the Parkway. Plenty of wildlife activity too!

Loved the cabin, but there are things that could be improved on; bathroom showers were dirty and had mold on the floor and shower curtains; the sinks were not draining properly in the two bedroom bathrooms-ended up removing tons of hair and plunging the downstairs one, assume the same needs to be done to upstairs; if possible need to improve water pressure in showers; would’ve liked a drop off location or trash bin for garbage. Otherwise the cabin was great. Did leave a note on kitchen table stating these items needed attention. Loved the location.

I felt like the Cabin was even better than expected. The pictures didn't show how beautiful the cabin actually was. The one and only complaint would be the road going to the cabin was a little difficult to navigate with approaching traffic . I understand that issue is more of a city issue and not the cabin owners. Thank You for making our stay a memorable one!

Enjoyed our stay at Bear Cove. The few times we had to call (trash pickup), Parkside was quick to respond. Pretty neat to see a bear walking down the street while grilling steaks!

Loved Bear Cove cabin. Location was perfect so close to town. I had made several calls about cabin and area questions and staff was very pleasant and overall easy to deal with. Check in and out was very easy also. Place was very clean, only comment was in order to sleep 8 u had to pull out the sofa couch which was not very comfortable. Also hard to park 3 vehicles but we managed. If we go back would definitely stay in same cabin!

Check in and check out staff was wonderful. Garbage pickup service was excellent (friendly stall, also). Bear Cove cabin was great... it looked great and met all our needs. Two suggestions: (1) Cabin seemed to be a new construction and maybe you’ve been made aware already, but all three restroom doors do not close properly. The latch bolts do not lineup with the hole in the strike plates. For this reason, even if the knob is locked, the door can be pushed open. This wasn’t an issue for us, but it may be for some people. Those doors need to latch! If it’s a safety issue, then I would remove the lock, but at least modify so the door knob latches to keep the door closed. (2). While there were plenty of outlets—thank you—, not all were easy to reach. For easier mobile device charging, especially in the bedrooms, consider having charging stations on the side tables (or use lamps that have outlets). Thanks for reading! Have a great day!

Bear Cove cabin was very clean, in excellent shape, and was a lot of fun! A fantastic location as well -- only one stoplight to get into the park, and yet also an easy walk to restaurants in Gatlinburg.

We loved our cabin and even got to see some bears on the last day. The cabin was very clean except for some Chex Mix that was covered in dust that we discovered behind the bed in the downstairs bedroom. We got the broom out and took care of it. We only noticed it because my husband was on the floor trying to plug in his phone charger. Check in and check out were very easy. Wifi worked great! We will definitely use Parkside again.

We loved the cabin and proximity to Gatlinburg. Perfect size for our family 2 adults and 2 children plus pet friendly for our 5th family member. Only drawbacks were the wifi kept cutting off and no garbage container outside. Related to both issues the young man that showed up was quick to respond. We already rebooked the same cabin for fall.

This was my first experience with Parkside cabin rentals and it was one of the best places we've rented from. Our cabin was everything we asked for and the check-in/check-out was easy and smooth. I loved that we didn't have to worry about bringing linens, towels and other things like most places we've rented from. They had everything we needed. The extra touch of the goody bag at check-in was very nice as well. Thank you for making our stay wonderful. We can't wait to come back.

We loved our cabin! We had no reason to contact the staff other than at check-in and check-out, everything was perfect in the cabin. We loved how close it was to town, yet it was secluded enough that we had plenty of privacy. We will be staying with Parkside Cabins again!

My wife and I have been married for 23 happy years, havent been able to go on our honeymoon till now.. We both loved the bear cove set up and it was very clean, and was really happy that we were allowed to bring our dog who also had a nice time.:) The view out both patios was amazing! Thank you for taking such good care of the cabins, Were already planing our trip back there for next june!! The only issue was , we didnt know where to take our trash out being we were there for 8 days.

Staff left key out in box as we arrived late, which was very accommodating. The cabin had several bees burrowing into the wood of the cabin while we were there. The toilets were not the cleanest, especially the lids. However, overall, we like Parkside Cabin Rentals. This was our 4th time staying with you and we recommend you to everyone.
