We really enjoyed our stay at City Bear and would absolutely return. The game room and outdoor space were great, and we even had a surprise visit from a bear—which made the stay extra memorable. One area for improvement would be the kitchen. We were preparing a full Christmas meal for our family and found it difficult with the current supplies. Additional serving spoons, storage containers, mixing bowls, a pizza pan, and another sheet pan would make a big difference for guests cooking larger meals. We also only had one dish towel and one kitchen washcloth—an extra of each would have been helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful stay. Thank you for hosting us—we look forward to coming back!

This is our favorite place to stay when visiting the Smokies!!! So convenient and always very clean!! The home has been updated and the layout is perfect!! The only thing I could possibly add to make the stay better would be a Christmas tree for the holidays!!

Talked to the manager today about suggestions and she was very receptive!

Very good. The heater was broken on a night of 21 degrees but they fixed it the next late morning/afternoon.

First time staying at the City Bear and absolutely loved everything about it. We come every year for our annual girls trip. There was 10 of us with plenty of room for everyone. The house was very clean and the location was perfect. We have found our yearly rental!

I will rent from Parkside again and again. Jeff made making this reservation a breeze over the phone. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. Jeff gave the same great service in person as he did on the phone. I'm already ready to book another trip with Parkside.

Pulling up to the cabin it was pretty! Rooms and house seemed very clean. Throughout our stay we did have some issues one being the AC the house didn’t seem to cool off as good. The bedroom with the door there appeared to used to be a blind to block out sunlight but since it wasn’t there we were blinded waking up, as well as when we were remaking our bed there was a juicy juice bottle with liquid in it that had been there from a prior stay. One of the bedrooms down the hall the door automatically locked from the inside if you didn’t block it from shutting. Other than the main front door we couldn’t get into the house with the code given. Other than those little hiccups we had an amazing time!

The beds were comfy & clean, plus the location can't be beat. We love staying here 2x a year for the Smokies Nail Show that we hold in July & again for the Oct. Craftsmen's Fair. The only issues were the bedroom with it's own bathroom directly across from where you enter via the front door. The shower curtain rod fell off onto my head when I moved the curtain aside to set the cooler upside down to dry out when we 1st arrived (I'm fine & not suing, but the next guest might be looking to make some money on this liability issue). I tried to rehang it, but the left end had lost it's ability to grip the tile wall (the rubber end has become too slick to grip). I called about it needing a new rod or it needing to be glued to the wall on the left side & the maintenance man came out to rehang it. It fell down again that same night when we were out at dinner. I called again but your office had closed, so I left a voice message & never heard back, so showered without it & got the floor pretty wet. Good thing the floor is tile, but it's a slipping accident waiting to happen. I called again for the 3rd time & the maintenance man came while we were out running the show, but when we returned later after 5pm, I saw he'd replaced the shower curtain to a solid white one instead of the cheap clear plastic one, but not the rod & both were laying on the table under the tv. When I called the 4th time, the maintenance man came out again & said he accidentally replaced/repaired (?) the hall bathroom shower curtain rod (which was not the problem this time) instead of the bedroom w/full bathroom's faulty shower curtain rod. He didn't have another shower curtain rod in his truck to replace it, but said he'd go look for one. He left, we never saw him again & I got tired of calling so I just showered for all 5 nights without any shower curtain. The width of the shower wall entrance is narrow, so I'm not sure if a special sized shower curtain rod is needed or if it can easily be replaced by a cheap Dollar General one, but the right side still has a round plastic base glued to the tile wall where the right side of the shower curtain fits into it. That still works fine. All that is needed is some Loctite Construction Glue to secure the left side of the rod onto the tile wall which I could've done myself, but I don't travel with my glue gun.

The only issue was some ants on the table in the alcove. Looked like there was candy in the cracks in the table.

We did have issues with the internet and a problem with 2 of the 4 toilets not flushing early in the morning but your maintenance was prompt.

House was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. Conveniently located and price was reasonable.

We were disappointed that there were dirty dishes in the dishwasher when we got there and we had to wash them using the only dishwasher pod that was there. It would also be nice if there were curtains in the main bedroom on the long windows. But we really enjoyed it

We loved our stay. The house could use better blinds in the master bedroom. The house was clean and in a great location. Check in was good. Could be better if you would email passcode so we wouldn’t need to go to the office. The WiFi wasn’t great but we managed and did not use the TVs. The hot tub and fire pit were nice. All in all we had a great stay. We will definitely be back. Thank you!!!

We Loved staying at this location. The house was exceptionally clean and was spacious for our family. The outside courtyard was lovely. We can’t wait to be able to come back and stay here again. We hated to leave.

We always are so pleased with Parkside! We had a couple of issues (needed help with the televisions and needed more blankets) and help was provided right away. Everyone is always so nice.

Have rented with you guys 5-6 times and never an issue. I wish we could do self check-in versus stopping in the office to get code.

Our stay was amazing! The cabin was clean and they thought to provide everything!! When we called with general questions, for garbage pick up or when we blew a fuse the staff was helpful and courteous.

City Bear was clean as always which we greatly appreciate, but the issue I brought up at our last stay (& all prior stays) in March still hasn’t been addressed. The MBR windows are still missing blinds or curtains so people can see in at night plus the streetlight shines brightly while we’re trying to sleep along with the sunlight waking us up at the crack of dawn (very unpleasant). I already spoke with you all & followed up via email about the landscaping, so the only dead horse I’ll beat is the lack of privacy in the MBR regarding those windows.

I was a little disappointed that for the second year in a row,the grass really needed to be cut. There were several big weeds in the patio area. No big deal , but,seems they would be removed.

LOVED the house and location. Comfortable beds. Lots of room. Back patio was fantastic. Kitchen set up so well. No clutter! Fun games. Will definitely stay here again next year!! There are some things that need improving to bring it to a 5-star experience. In reviews some of these are mentioned multiple times, that’s a big sign they need addressed. No trash can in 1/2 bath or bedrooms. No hand towel in 1/2 bath, had to call and ask for a hand towel and another bath mat. Curtains on ALL master bedroom windows are BADLY needed both for light blocking and privacy. People can see in from the condo next door. That’s a very big deal!! Switch out blinds to be light blocking. Full size ironing board needed Blankets should be available for beds and in living room. Lumpy, small pilllows were horrible - king size beds should have large pillows. Light needed over kitchen sink Scratchy sheets - need soft sheets. One bed had the bottom sheet on the wrong way so it completely came off in the night. Front door rug needed We had a lot of trouble with the front door electronic lock working right. Would take multiple tries even though we were doing it right. LEVEL THE POOLTABLE/need chalk too Towels are WAY too small, especially frustrating for the men. Should also have large towels for the jacuzzi use.

The house is perfect, location is great amenities are awesome especially the fire pit. This time though the cleanliness was not up to par. There was a lot of dirt along top of baseboard in rec room and refrigerator handles had like pancake batter on them. We will be back

We love staying at City Bear & the house is always so clean, which we really appreciate! Jeff & Abby in the office are very kind & helpful, too. 1 suggestion is to let repeat customers like myself skip the office visit to show our photo ID especially after we've already paid in full. Keeping a copy of our drivers license should suffice & I'd sign a consent form allowing you to do that because it is EXTREMELY stressful to get in the bumper to bumper July Parkway traffic when we are working 8am - 5pm at the Gatlinburg Convention Center all day Friday when we're due to check in. Emailing or texting the passcode on the morning of check-in is how most other rentals avoid wasting guests limited time & I'd be beyond thrilled if you'd consider doing that!

We were disappointed that the grass hadn't been cut.we were loading up van to leave when they were cutting the grass . Overall it is a great place.

This stay our cabin did not have an ironing board even after we requested one. No blankets or comforters for fold out beds nor laundry soap. . We still love the cabin but disappointed it was not stocked.

You Did great, we brought our own temp paper blinds for the master and they worked well. You may want to mention this to others that book this house. We love the house and plan to be back

Our cabin had everything we could ask for. It had all the comforts of home. It was one of the most comfortable and relaxing stays we have ever had as a family!

We love City Bear’s location & amenities plus how clean it always is but PLEASE install blinds or curtains in the master bedroom facing Reagan Dr! People on the Space Needle & on both levels of the Gillette Motel balconies can see right into the bedroom windows on both sides of the house. This is not good.

Great place and location. Internet was not working when we arrived but we rebooted it and all was fine. For a vrbo listing, most places stock the kitchen more thoroughly. Also our door code stopped working the night before checkout. Also consider making checkin easy online and then provide the code for the house to avoid a in person checkin. Those are the only negatives and I only point them out to help! It was a great place and stay.

If we have a larger group stay togather again. This will be our go to cabin. Beautiful accommodations. Close to everything. If you need a spot to be alone from your group, this cabin has space to accommodate that. My son is in a wheelchair. We were able to get him in on the side. Although there are steps inside that we had to deal with. Overall the cabin work for him as well.

City Bear was an awesome place to stay and was very clean and the location was great for downtown activities, we will definitely be back!!!!

The house was larger than expected which gave all 6 of us space to spread out & the location can't be beat! We've stayed in so many places in Gatlinburg & the #1 struggle most all of them have is employing good housekeepers. This house was very clean, much more so than I anticipated, so it was a wonderful surprise. My only recommendation (aka complaint) is to have blinds on ALL the Master Bedroom windows, preferably room darkening blinds. Upon arriving at dusk we discovered 3 MBR windows didn't have any blinds at all & the hotel guests next door were on their balconies which means if we can see them, they can see us. The next morning after getting little sleep, we drove out to Family Dollar to buy about $40+ of the peel & stick room darkening blinds not only to cover up the bare windows, but to put over the tops of the light paper blinds that the rest of the windows have installed. You probably don't know this because you aren't sleeping in that MBR, but the 2 street lights outside shine 100% light thru the flimsy paper blinds which illuminates the bedroom as bright as having the indoor lights turned on all night long. We actually didn't buy enough of the room darkening peel & stick blinds (6 total) to cover the side window, but we made do with what we had until we checked out. Other than that the house was great!

Beautiful cabin that was very clean and very well stocked with everything we needed to cook all weekend! Loved all the new appliances and gas grill…small problem with hot tub and someone came and repaired it immediately so we were able to enjoy it…I’m always so pleased with Parkside’s cabins and service!
