Bear Crossing

We absolutely loved our stay with Parkside cabin rentals! We will definitely be back next year.

As always, “Bear Crossing” is where my husband and I love to stay. It’s our 3rd or 4th time there. We will be back Dec 19th in one of your bigger cabins, “Down the Creek”, with our children and grands! We always have a wonderful time! Cabin was clean & well stocked . Only got t I stay 1 night due to family death

We had a couple of issues upon check-in but is always Parkside responded immediately. We have booked with them several times over the past few years and the service has always been excellent and will be booking with them again for 2026 great cabins great staff great locations.

Beautiful location, felt like we were by ourselves but quick to get to town. The cabin was comfortable and gorgeous!! Highly recommended!!!

Cabin was nice. We could’ve used some more towels since there was 4 of us. There were no oven mitts for getting things out of the oven.

We enjoyed our stay the cabin was very nice. The cleaning crew missed a lot of cobwebs and there were spiders in the shower and when I killed a few there was grime from the shower walls.

Service was excellent as always. Very helpful. Can't wait for October we will be back and staying with Parkside again

Enjoyed our stay, cabin was nice, good location over looking some of the mountains. A yearling cub was in the oak tree 2 mornings in a row, good name for the cabin, bear crossing.

We loved the location. I was disappointed that only side of the hot tub was working. Oh, the toaster doesn’t toast both sides. The unit was clean. The bed was wonderful! We would definitely consider coming back to Bear Crossing.

We stayed at Bear crossing and the cabin was really clean and secluded for privacy.

The staff is always friendly and informative, and the cabins always clean and we'll kept, as well as in a beautiful location.

We have stayed with Parkside Cabins several times. We appreciate the ease of check-in. This was a new cabin for us. Very cute. Overall, we liked it. It has more suitable furniture than the cabin we normally stay in. Just wish the "dining room" table were a little bigger. It was generally clean, but could use some deep cleaning. There were some cobwebs and the windows need cleaning. The hot tub only had one working set of jets. The other side was clearly broken. Loved the covered back porch, except there were some bees around the back porch - maybe nests underneath it? Thank you for another good experience.

People in the office were more than helpful, I was planning a wedding and trying to get everyone close by and happy was not an easy task, Jeff and the other office people did not disappoint.

First time ever renting a cabin! If have to say everything I experienced From booking online to the office staff friendly and made everything so easy the cabin was so beautiful. Only complaint is I couldn't start longer. I will definitely book with y'all in future.

Staff is friendly and very responsive. Bear Crossing is the perfect cabin for us (location and very easy for mobility challenged to navigate)!!! This was our second stay at this cabin and it was just like coming home!!!!

This is our second time staying in Bear Crossing. Many more plans to stay in the future. The cabin is perfect for the two of us, the fire pit is where we relax, and we absolutely love the area. Parkside has always been welcoming and a pleasure to stay with every time. We WILL be back soon!

Everything was great! Only complaint one window missing a blind

Cabin was clean. The hot tub jets did not work on one side of the hot tub but otherwise, the cabin was clean and organized. The check in/out experience was fast and easy.

This was our second stay in Bear Crossing. We love the setting and solitude. Cabin was clean and well supplied.

The home and check in process was great. We couldn’t get the jacuzzi tub inside of the cabins jets to work which was a disappointment, but it’s okay. There isn’t a bottle scrubber for the dishes since there is no dishwasher and guests are required to wash their own dishes it is concerning seeing as my fiancée with tiny hands could not get her hand down the glass to clean it. Makes you wonder how clean the dishes really are. Also we had massages done at the cabin and had to move the living room furniture in order to set up the massage tables, underneath the couch was gross with dirt, food, and residue underneath it. I would also provide another dish towel because one is not enough for having to wash all of your dishes.

Clean and cozy. Very comfortable bed! The hot tub was very clean and in good shape. Beautiful views and close to town.

Overall we enjoyed our stay! The cabin was well maintained, nice, and quaint. Would have enjoyed more of a mountain view like advertised. My only recommendation for this certain cabin is getting a longer shower curtain, because water went all over the floor while the shower was running.

The cabin was very clean. It has a great view and was perfectly secluded from neighbors. The hot tub was a great bonus to have and was clean and ready to use. I would definitely return to this cabin for another retreat.

Cabin was exactly what we needed. There were some “repairs” we recommended on a sheet of paper when we checked out. Nothing major that affected our stay. Check in/out was quick and easy.

Cabin was clean, bed very comfortable, quiet. Hot tub cover is worn and debris from the hot tub cover falls into the hot tub. Overall, we enjoyed our weekend with Parkside. Parking pass is a plus.

Bear Crossing was the perfect cabin for us! Very charming and so comfortable. Check in was efficient and the office people were very friendly. There was an issue with the fireplace and Miguel and J.J. resolved the problem quickly. Miguel and J.J. are so nice and excellent representatives of your company. We stayed in bear crossing this trip and it is a nice little cabin and just the size we were looking for. It was missing a blind in the kitchen area and it looks like some time earlier a tree fell and wore part of the gutter off. No big deal just things we noticed, not upset at all. We had ants and there was an animal that scratched at night in rear right corner near jacuzzi.

The cabin was cute, cozy, and clean. There was no wine bottle opener so I bought one and gifted it to the cabin. If it weren’t for that, I would have given it 5 stars!

Check in was easy. Everyone was nice. The cabin did have a very strong chemical smell that gave me a headache. We opened all the doors but that didn’t seem to get rid of the smell.

Was not able to use the Jacuzzi we tried to clean it three or four times but there was a black mold that came out so unfortunately we did not get to enjoy that

It was a great location and price. We loved every bit of the cabin and cozy beds. Thank you! I would recommend maybe a broom in the cabin. Only because we have a one year old and with the rain/leaves ect on the floor, it can get messy. Other than that, it was great!

From booking to check-in to check-out, Parkside Cabin Rentals was a great experience. After having to cancel our trip last year due to Covid, we were looking forward to our trip all year and this is a great place to get away.

This was our second time staying at bear crossing and we absolutely adore this cabin, it has special memories to us, so we were glad to come back. We were a little disappointed this time with house keeping -some of the bedding had stains, there were no extra trash bags, dishes were obviously not washed and had food on some of them, cobwebs and dust were on things that could have clearly been wiped down. Other than that we really enjoyed our time!

The cabin was amazing. It had a nice, fully stocked kitchen, and had everything we needed for comfort. We had a perfect vacation in a perfect cabin. The staff was friendly and Check in/check out was very quick and simple.

We stayed with Parkside Cabin Rentals for our honeymoon and loved our cabin!! The cabin was very clean and exactly as shown in the pictures on the Parkside website. We will definitely be using Parkside for our next trip to the Smoky's

The only thing that was missing was the sample/starter pack of laundry detergent so we just substituted with the dishwasher powder that was there since there wasn't a dish washer in our cabin. (Bear Crossing). The check in was so simple and the directions were perfect.

My family and I stayed in Bear Crossing. It was a wonderful cabin and we definitely enjoyed our stay. The only negative would be the cleanliness. There were a lot of cobwebs and someone else's sock underneath the couch. There is also a wasp nest in the window between the fireplace and refrigerator.

Wonderful time and did post on facebook had a great time.

Parkside cabin rentals was extremely good to us. We stayed in bear crossing and was very nice a little smaller than the pictures made it out to be. But everything inside was absolutely awesome, shower and tub were amazing. It gives you the cabin feel you want when you go to Gatlinburg. The drive from the cabin to the middle of town is a little bit of drive that’s our fault for not looking into that but other than some small things we loved it and the view is great!!!

The staff was very friendly. The cabin was exactly as pictured and had everything we needed for our week stay. My only issue was the amount of dust on the celing fan and beam in the main area. When we turned on the fan dust went everywhere. But we had a great time and would definitely recommend Parkside Cabins!

Stayed at the Bear Crossing Cabin. It was beautiful. The road to get to the cabin was narrow, and you can see/hear other cabins, but barely; the woods do a good job of making things feel more private. The cabin was a perfect get-a-way for my birthday and within 10 minutes of everything to do. One of the park entrances is probably not even 5 minutes from the cabin! Thank you for a great place to stay!

It was a wonderful experience, extremely peaceful and relaxing . Everything was so nice and clean. I do recommend getting a new couch for the living room. Its a little worn for the main sitting area

Another wonderful cabin! Our 6th stay with you, first time we have had to call about an “issue” and it was resolved about 60-90 minutes after arriving. (Someone has turned the gas feed to the cabin off and the pilot lite in the fireplace was out. If it hadn’t been raining we probably wouldn’t have noticed as we usually keep the outdoor fire pit going practically all weekend.) the man who came out was very polite and professional and we enjoyed talking with him about some of the other cabins etc. I must point out however, the indoor jacuzzi tub shot out a bunch of small pieces of what appeared to be mold. So many we passed on the bath. I had the same problem with my tub as it seldom gets used. It is important to, from time to time, fill the tub up past the jets, pour in some bleach, and let the tub “run” for just a few minutes. Other than that it was a wonderful weekend!! We’ll see you again in April!

excellent place to stay! was easy to find and the cabin was pretty clean. was not left any towels but made a call to the office and they brought us some within 15 minutes from calling. will definitely be staying again. and have had multiple friends and family interested after seeing the pictures and us telling them how pleased we were with it.

Lots of cob Webb’s, the shower and bathtub had mold in them. I’ve stayed with parkside for 4 years in a roll and “bear crossing” was my least favorite!

We arrived early and came to check in. The lady at the front desk was awesome she finished our paperwork and said she would call when the cabin was ready.( I didn’t even think of that.) She did call over three hours early. Wow!!! We stayed at Bear Crossing it was wonderful. Loved the fire pit. A+

Staff was great at check-in. Our cabin was wonderful. Great view of the mountains and perfect size for 2. Very clean. Bathroom area is very impressive, bed very comfortable. Only two things I missed having,were dishtowels in the kitchen area and a hamburger/pancake spatula. The free parking in town was another bonus!

We loved the cabin, and the view was amazing. There were several issues though. The toilet was stopped up, the AC didn't work, and the sheets on our bed were dirty and I had to wash them before we could go to bed. You were quick to fix the toilet, and provided us with one night of our stay free due to the AC being out. We love Parkside, this is the 2nd time we've stayed in one of your cabins, and will stay with y'all again in the future. The toilet and AC were just issues out of your control, but I was disappointed with the dirty sheets.

The cabin had a lovely view, and was easy to find. The parking passes for downtown, and discount cards were a nice surprise. We love the Pittman area. - A few thoughts, some sort of pull pack or decorative curtain between the tub and sink area would help maximize the use of that space. The cabin was spotless, save for some serious cobwebs up high.

The cabin was easy to find and just as described. The mattress was a bit hard for our liking and the fireplace didn't put out much heat. The first night our hot tub was cool but by the next day it worked well. The staff was friendly and the parking passes were a great surprise! There were several restaurants and a nice grocery store nearby so the cabin is in a very convenient place! We realized that we actually prefer the Pigeon Forge side of town but will definitely suggest using Parkside rentals to others that like Gatlinburg .

Missing a few necessities such as extra blankets, better equipped kitchen, not the cleanest it could have been.

Location, location, location was remarkable for us as honeymooners. The size of our cabin fit our lifestyle perfectly. The only thing we would change is the couch. It needs replacing as mentioned in reviews before us. We can't wait to return next year!!!

Beautiful cabin. We were impressed with the service from the front office to a personal greet from the owner of the cabin. Not to mention the stunning view! Wonderful experience.

The guys that were there to get us checked in were amazing, very polite and very helpful. I guess I called maybe 6 times on our way down because I was not sure on how to get there and they never got irritated with me, just always happy to help. The gift bag was a plus, I thought that was very nice of them with the coupons and free parking tickets and the flash light came in handy. The only thing I was disappointed about was the hot tub wasn't hot but I really didn't give much of a notice either so we chalked that up to being our fault and used the bath tub and it worked great. Oh and the ladder up to the loft was loose so we didn't get to see that out of fear of falling or breaking it on off. Other than that we were very pleased with Parkside, we used to stay with cabinsusa but we had an accident involving my daughter being cut and they were very rude and not at all worried for her well being. Parkside is the only way to go!

The staff was friendly and the view was amazing. The cabin was very clean and just as pictured. However the couch needs to be replaced, it was very saggy and uncomfortable.

We loved the cabin and our view, the kitchen, bathroom and bed were very clean but on dropping something on the floor we saw that the housekeeping could be much better. I am only saying this because I have cleaned homes for a living, in fact I cleaned homes after construction, so I do know how they are supposed to be cleaned. My advice would be for you to really check on the cleaning yourself. We were a little disappointed that the hot tub was to cold to use the first night but since we stayed for three that wasn't to bad. We received excellent service when there was a problem the second night concerning the hot tub, it was closing time for your office but someone came out and fixed it for us. All in all we had a great time in Gatlinburg and will be back with our husbands. Thank you Vicki Wachadlo

The cabin was great. Location and view were terrific. Only 2 issues was the hot tub wasn't on when we arrived. It took it a day to warm up so we were only able to use it 1 night. Even then the jets weren't functioning properly. We enjoyed the fire pit and cooking on the grill. Could use a step stool in the kitchen so supplies can be stored on the top shelf since their is minimal counter top and cabinet space. We appreciated the coupons and parking tickets. I would definitely stay in this particular cabin again and work with the company again.

The cabin was nice and clean. There were only 2 things that needed attention. one the filter on the hot tub was not the correct size therefore it didn't filter the water correctly. the second the large rocks around the fire pit will need some more dirt under them, you can see where it has washed out under them. Hate to see them crack and break. We had an excellent stay and will use Parkside Cabin Rentals again.

We loved our cabin, Bear Crossing! Ad stated 2 queen beds, main bedroom had a king! What a great surprise. Also, there was a washer and dryer, not mentioned in the amenities. So many happy surprises! This is the first company we have rented from that gave you more than enough towels, toilet paper, dish soap and even washing powder! Most rentals give you a day's supply, then you have to go by the office to get more. Parkside Cabin rentals made sure we had everything we needed without making a trip back to office. Free parking passes and pool access at a neighboring hotel were a huge plus!! We will definitely rent with Parkside again! Thanks for a great vacation!!

The view from the deck is great...thanks for trimming trees so we could enjoy the mountain view.
